GGG's
Golf To Cure Diabetes
program is a national campaign to raise awareness of
the importance of diabetes research, highlight GGG's
global leadership, and raise funds for the fight to find
a cure for diabetes and its complications. Launched in
San Francisco, CA in January 2004, the campaign includes
the golf events and other
special events.

Dedicated to Finding a Cure
Golf to Cure was
founded in 2004 by Andrew Grogan. While losing his
Mother from complications of diabetes and having an
older Brother living with the disease, diabetes hit home
and Andrew wanted to help find a cure. Golf To Cure's
idea came by implementing what he feels is the greatest
game in the world with helping to find a cure for a
disease with such devastating complications.
The Golf to Cure
Foundation (GTCF) organizes golf events to benefit
diabetes research while partnering with the Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and the American
Diabetes Association (ADA).
The JDRF is a
non-profit, non-governmental funder of diabetes
research. In a typical year, 80 percent of JDRF’s
expenditures directly support research and education
about research. Since its inception, JDRF has provided
more than $600 million to diabetes research worldwide.
The JDRF Greater Bay
Area Chapter was founded in 1975. Since then, they have
become the third most successful fundraising JDRF
Chapter in the nation.
The ADA is the nation's
leading nonprofit health organization providing diabetes
research, information and advocacy. Founded in 1940, the
ADA conducts programs in all 50 states and the District
of Columbia, reaching more than 800 communities.
